Privacy Policy

1. Who we are

Michael Batey, trading as Resonis / iElevAIte, Kinmel Bay, Wales, United Kingdom — michael@getresonis.com.

For coach account data (your own name, email, and billing details), Michael Batey is the data controller. For the content of client check-ins and conversations, Resonis acts as a data processor on behalf of the coach — coaches are the ones with the direct relationship and consent arrangement with their own clients, and are responsible for that consent.

2. Our commitment on internal access

As the person who built and runs Resonis, Michael has the technical ability to access the underlying database directly — including client check-in conversations. There's no way to build an AI-powered coaching support tool without that being true somewhere in the chain; it's a structural feature of how any app like this works, not something specific to Resonis. Data is encrypted in transit and at rest, but has to be readable at the point the AI generates a response and the point a coach reads their brief — and that same access exists for Michael as the operator of the underlying systems.

Here is the commitment we make about that access: Michael will only ever access raw conversation data directly for genuine operational reasons — for example, investigating a specific reported bug or fixing a fault — never to browse, read, or monitor conversations out of curiosity or for any other purpose.

3. What we collect

4. Why we collect it, and our legal basis

5. How AI is used

Client check-in conversations are processed by our AI provider, Anthropic, to generate Resonis's responses and the briefs shown to coaches, and to check each new message for signs that something may need the coach's attention. This content is used solely to provide the service to you — in line with Anthropic's commercial terms, it is not used to train their AI models.

6. Who we share data with

We use a small number of trusted service providers to run Resonis:

We don't sell your data, and we don't share it with anyone else for marketing purposes.

7. Where your data is stored

Your data is stored in the European Union (Stockholm, Sweden), via our database provider Supabase. Because this is within the EU, and the UK recognises the EU as having adequate data protection, no additional safeguards are needed for that transfer. Some of our other service providers (listed above) may be based outside the UK/EEA, primarily in the United States; where that applies, we rely on the safeguards required by UK GDPR, such as standard contractual clauses.

8. How long we keep data

9. Your rights

Depending on where you're based, you have rights including access to your data, correction, deletion, restricting or objecting to processing, and data portability. To exercise any of these, contact michael@getresonis.com. If you're not satisfied with our response and you're in the UK, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.

10. Children

Resonis isn't intended for anyone under 18. Coaches should not invite clients under 18 to use it.

11. Security

We take reasonable technical and organisational steps to protect your data, but no online service can guarantee complete security.

12. Cookies

getresonis.com does not currently use tracking, advertising, or referral-attribution cookies. If that changes — for example, if we introduce a partner referral programme — we'll update this policy and add a proper cookie notice at the same time.

13. Changes to this policy

We'll update this page as Resonis develops, and note the date of the latest update at the top.
